While she was not going to tell him, Kenneth found out that Cathy was not only pregnant with their child before their breakup, but that she had it illegally aborted. Cathy feels the need to deal with the issue of Kenneth on her own in any hint of scandal in the form of skeletons in their closet would be detrimental to Jack's political life.
