Illustrated with 14 color plates + 50 black & white. This catalog was prepared to accompany the exhibition at Francois de Nobele from September 30 to October 28, 1994. After centuries of neglect he was rediscovered in the 1930's by Paul Jamot and Charles Sterling. Biographical sketch. Essays on his style, patrons, students, technique. Chronology. Bibliography. 11" high X 8" wide, 95 pages. Scarce.
