The author a Missionary in China wrote this book for English children to describe the life of the "yellow children" to Edwardian England. She describes "dirty narrow streets, and houses with queer roofs" etc. It's certainly not politically correct but an interesting insight into the China of old. The book has been "used" but remains in good order though the boards are chipped to the edges with corners knocked, but otherwise complete and very good for its age.
