'Before his death in 1959 Denis Devlin had completed his revision of his book "The Heavenly Foreigner". This revised text is now printed for the first time, together with the variant readings from the printed versions and some hitherto unpublished manuscript material which traces the development of the poem over a period of some 15 years.' Including a portrait of Devlin by Marcella Comes Winslow and a drawing by Anne Yeats. Spotted and dusty to the head edge, the spine head bumped, the half-title a little marked, and a couple of leaves inherently creased in part, but about Very Good in slightly lesser jacket, with an old price sticker over the printed price, moderately rubbed with a short split at the head edge of the upper panel, and the stock faded primarily to the spine and lower panel (not affecting the print).
