    Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. This 5.75 x 8.25 inch, 359 page hardcover book is the 1922 first edition of this title. This copy is in very good condition with some time and handling wear showing to the red cloth covers . . . the front cover shows several small spots and possibly the result of just a touch of spilled liquid although VERY slight . . . the edges of the covers show just a bit of time wear and one corner shows a modest bump. The interior of the book is in very good condition with the pages showing very little time wear. The numbers illustrations are all present . . . the one illustration page is somewhat loose. Beyond that the text shows no markings and the pages are at least very good. A nice copy of this interesting and entertaining look-back at the authors journey to California in 1849 . . . his life and career. The book shows one colored photograph laid in loose of a large two-story house . . . possibly the authors. 359 pages.
