Brown cloth boards and spine with bright gilt lettering on the spine. 211 pp 8vo. In 1926, James Charles Rodgers was forced to retire from railroad work due to his tuberculosis. Out of work, he auditioned for Victor Records and within a year he was one of their most promising singers. With his "blue-yodel" and "down-home" songs, he exerted a great influence on the fledgling country music industry. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
