Illustrated with frontispiece engravings. Volume I has seven additional portraits. Rich red-purple cloth boards with decorative frame stamped in blind to fronts and backs. Gilt titles to spines. Volume I has faded to lilac-colored boards with a fully-sunned (now tan) spine. (Other volumes remain richly colored.) Light rubbing to edges and spine ends. A couple nudged corners. Bookbinder's sticker to bottom of front pastedwon. Volume I: No subtitle Volume II subtitle: "Second Series, Diocese of Kildare" Volume III subtitle: "Third Series - Diocese of Leighlin" The bookbinder was Freeman's Journal, Limited.
