Crease in the cloth across the top corner of the rear board. Some rubbed surface soil. Gilt still fairly bright. Front hinge starting. There is a pencilled owners name (Stillwater, Minn), dated 1883 on the front flyleaf; a colored pencil sketch on the verso of the front fly; pencilled notes on the verso of the first blank (looks like a list in preparing for a camping trip); a pencil sketch on page 578 and on the rear flyleaf; and an erasure on the front pastedown. The rear flyleaf is creased. The page edges are a bit age-darkened. Else the pages are clean. The map is quite clean, but there are two closed tears along folds - one ~1/2" and one ~2". ; 27C; 7-1/2" x 5"; 578 pages.
