Full page color illustrations -- these have been tipped into the book and a few are loosening as the glue ages. Burgundy cloth covered boards with gilt titles and blind tooling. Gilt top edge to pages. 146 pages. Ghosting to endpapers and some browning to tissue-guard of frontispiece. All else very clean inside, all colour plates pristine. Minor edge wear to boards and very slight fading to spine. All firm.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good +. 1st Edition. I46 pages in publishers', blue buckram with embossed design and titling on front board. Top edge gilt with untrimmed page edges. Introduction by Dickens's daughter, Kate. Extracts from the works with 30 full-page coloured plates with captioned tissue guards and 4 other illustrations including a frontispiece engraving of Dickens.There is an inscription on the endpaper. The plates are particularly charming and well executed. In nice clean, tight condition with no fraying or splitting and clean pages. The (rare) slipcase is solid and clean. No faults to note. Payment by credit card through ABE. Paypal accepted. A heavy book so I will have to quote the postage for an overseas order.
