Octavo, [viii], 128 pages with 66 full-page illustrations; a 4-page priced catalogue of all 66 prints is tipped in on the rear pastedown. Laminated pictorial papered boards; spine sunned; an excellent copy. A self-published work; number 299 of 1000 copies numbered and signed by the artist on the front free endpaper. Pip Comport (1922-2023) emigrated from England in 1957, and settled in Adelaide in 1959. A chartered surveyor by profession, in 1977 he 'retired early to devote more time to art. Started print-making in 1982 as relief from the battle with oils and watercolours' (rear cover blurb). 'The prints were simply and laboriously produced by hand using an old, round, ebony ruler as a roller, pressed down by a hand-held billet of wood. That is why the print runs are all fairly short!' (foreword). Signed.
