Condition: Very Good. In blue cloth boards with gold inlaid design on the cover and spine. Spine is sun faded but cover is bright with a small nick on the edge. This is an account of all the great singers of history. Inside there is a book plate from the previous owner Marcus Thomson accompanied by his signature. Otherwise the interior is clean and tight.; 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall Very Good.

The binding design [especially the "R" in WORLD] calls to mind Margaret Armstrong's work, though there is no monogram, nor is the book listed as designed by her in Gullans & Espey.

Leather. Condition: Good Only. None (illustrator). A rather scarce first edition of the Comtesse de Bremont's collection of poetry, in a soft leather binding. Bound in soft leather with gilt lettering. With the Times Book Club bookseller's label to the rear pastedown. With a colour frontispiece of Anna, Comtesse de Bremont. Not widely held institutionally. Bound in soft leather with gilt lettering. There is only mild wear to the extremities, with just mild rubbing and marks, with tidemarks to the rear board. The front inner hinge is rather strained and a bit weak. The binding is generally tight and firm. Internally the pages have very slight browning and the very occasional spot, with offsetting to the lower corners of the endpapers. Good Only. book.
