The book was first published in 1953. This second impression was published in 1965. The book contains a foreword by Roy Campbell. Book in good condition, in a very good unclipped dust jacket. The book has a crease to pages 11 and 13, and a closed tear on page 13. There is slight ageing to the page edges. The dust jacket shows some general shelf wear and ageing, but is now encased in a removable plastic sleeve. A nice copy overall. (See pictures).

Red endpapers and page edges all around stained red. Book is tight, square and totally free of any markings inside. Really Near Fine or better. This is the autobiographical recollections of the "citizen and cloth worker of London" beginning with his arrival in London in 1547 and ending in 1559. Book is now protected with archival quality mylar sleeve.

Internally all pages are bright and clean, binding is fine and tight. NOT an Ex-Library book and is inscription-free throughout. Short interesting foreword by Roy Campbell and a short introduction by the author. A very decent edition of a seemingly hard to acquire book.
