The book has worn corners, sunned cloth spine with wear head/tail. 1953 reprint. Doesn't hold up well historically. The page block is in very good plus condition, unmarked and firm, illustrated in colour on every page by A. E. Kennedy. Not paginated. No dedication etc. Issued without jacket.

Two children shrink to gnome size and learn a lot about the animals of the countryside.
