Softcover. Important collection of books and lectures with texts by Rudolf Steiner and others relating to Steiner's "Anthroposophy philosophy." His philosophy argues that the existence of an objective, intellectually comprehensible spiritual world can be accessed through direct experience and inner development. It aims to develop perceptive imagination, intuition and inspiration through cultivating a form of being independent of sensory experience. Steiner's anthroposophical ideas have been applied worldwide in over 1,000 Steiner/Waldorf schools, in the areas of special education (Camphill Movement), the arts, medicine, agriculture, organizational development and many others. The Anthroposophical Society has its international center at the Goetheanum in Dornach (Switzerland), where the majority of the items in this collection were privately published & printed. Includes the lectures "Von Jesus zu Christus" & "Die karmischen Zusammenhänge der Anthroposophischen Bewegung." Steiner's controversial views of Christianity diverge from conventional Christian thought in key places and include Gnostic elements. Collection contains two folders with many of Steiner's lectures on carbon copies & mimeographed typescript, two original manuscripts & one copy of a manuscript (after texts by- and relating to Steiner) and eight books (majority printed privately at the Goetheanum in the 1920's & 30's).
