Together with the Names of all the Deputy Lieutenants, Magistrates, County, Borough, Urban, Rural and Parish Councillors. and their Officials in Office in this County on Diamond Jubilee Day, Tuesday, June 22nd 1897. This copy is fresh and vibrant, the Vellum Binding is with only miniscule age discolour; with ornate gilt boards with Royal Crown above Title, and the Armorial Plate of Hugh Duke of Westminster beneath. Top edge in gilt. Numerous tissue guarded b/w photograph plates, including frontis by: [ Robert Milne, Photographer to the Queen] [Aboyne and Ballater.] - Her Majesty The Queen Going for Her Morning Ride, Accomponied By The Princess Christian and The Princess Frederica of Hanover. The whole Edition consisted of 200 Crown Volumes and a further 50 Royal Quarto editions. This is one is numbered 109 pp: 289. Printed on high quality paper with numerous black and white whole page views of old halls in Cheshire. This is a splendid publication in original half vellum with tan textured cloth gilt boards and beautiful original marbled end papers. This is an Ex-Southport Reference Library copy with 3 bookplates and a number of discreet rubber stamps on the reverse of the plates. Name of the author neatly written at the very top of spine and reference number written neatly at the very bottom of spine. Please do not be put off by the fact that this is an Ex-Library copy - it is an absolutely splendid tight clean example. Very Good+. VERY substantial book, almost 2.3Kg without wrapping.
