Clear and legible though obviously a carbon copy, on thin (but not onionskin) paper. [+] From what I can determine this is well-written and competent survey of th…e economic situation in the U.S. In the high-unemployment days of 1935. Half of the work seems to be a statement of the problem, and the other half seems to be a solution, though this is hardly like one of the many crack-pot schemes that I have in my 1930's collection.[+] There are no entries for this title in WorldCat, and from what I can determine the book was never published. Provenance: Library of Congress Pamphlet Collections, with their surplus rubber stamp on front cover. The book is bound by brass clasps, with a manila wrapper serving as covers the covers are in tatty condition and the front cover is nearly off; however the text block is FINE. [+] I can find very little on Mr. Costa, though it seems he was Cornell '31 LLB and '29 BS, and was in 1975 a professor of accounting at gthe College of Business, University of Tennessee, Knoxville; he was the author of "Law of Inventing in Employment" (1953).
