Publisher's red cloth, gilt armorial to front boards and gilt titles too spine. The spines are lightly faded, the boards a touch warped… to volume I, with damp staining to upper front corner. The head and tails of the spines and extremities are a little bumped. The bindings are generally firm, with the hinges a touch loose. Signed by the editor to the title page of Volume I. A few spots to prelims, else bright. A good example inscribed by the son of the subject.
