Sextodecimo, 182 pages, blind stamped decorations on brown cloth with gilt title; with a second title page in color and with three black and white illustrations. Previous owner's penciled inscription on front endpaper with date April 17 - 1864. A good, clean, original hardcover edition over-all, would be very good but for a damp stain at the upper fore-edge margin which does not affect the text or plates, fore-edges darkened, hinges and binding solid, paper generally clean and cream white with occasional small stain or slight foxing.
