One and three inch tears at the bottom on some of the pages. Pages are clean and unmarked. No library marks. Flippy and Skipppy are flying squirrels that a little boy brought home to save and eventually let go. The mischevious squirrels will win your heart over and you will also want to save them. The illustrator I can not find , but the illustrations are really good and so cute.

This print has a nice image by illustrator Donn Philip (perhaps best known for his illustrations for the "My Book House Series") depicting a child approaching a series of stepping stones leading to Woodrow Wilson. Good. Some pen marking to the bottom around "Number 11" Otherwise, no pinholes, some creasing and rubbing as shown in photos. 13.5" x 16.5" illustrated print on off white paper.

This is NOT the case with this set. All six volumes in fine to near fine condition. Only fault is the lower fore-edge corners of 10 pages (leaves) of vol 1 are torn away. This does not affect the text on those pages. Pages are tight and clean with no marks. no scribbles, no crayon. No name of previous owner. No musty odor. no water damage. No soiling. No sun fading. A nice set of this classic work for children.
