Leather-bound. Condition: Very Good Plus. Second Edition. Octavo, 7.7 in. X 5.4 in., pp. 114. Illustrated with numerous sketches. Half calf over marbled boards with gilt rule and gilt bird to front. Gilt title, five raised bands with gilt bandlines and fleurons to spine. Original softcover wraps are bound within, and in Near Fine condition. Light rubbing to extremities. Marbled endpapers. Fifty short hunting stories submitted for a gun manufacturer's competition, with the winning entry being "His First Honker" by E.C. Cratty. First published in 1911.
