Full Cloth. Condition: Fair. Two volumes in one book, complete. Full grey cloth with gilt lettering on the spine, heavy wear to the extremties, moderate foxing (brown spotting) throughout, lacking half title and flyleaf but otherwise a complete text. Overall in FAIR condition. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Hardcover.

Back cover appears as though a table leg has been placed on it at some stage of the book's life. Internally spotless. Apart from the back cover, still a very nice copy. Scan available.

Bevilled blue boards; the front, decorated and lettered in gilt, has a 1cm nick to the top edge plus some discoloured water marks; the spine, lettered in gilt with brown decorative plants, rubbed on top front corner with a 1cm split 10cm below it; spotty discoloration to rear panel. Internally endpapers undamaged save for bookplate to front; the gutta-percha has dried so the contents are loose. All plates present save for the frontis to Div 1 'Greek Chapel of the Holy Sepulchre'; its tissue guard remains and is foxed; mild foxing emerges periodically throughout but with little detriment to the plates, except for 'El-Deir, Petra' which is significantly marked along with its descrptive page. Div 1, 42 plates minus 1; Div 2, 42 plates; Div 3, 36 plates. Extra postage outside UK. Size: Folio - over 12" - 15" tall.

Full Leather. Condition: Good. Gustav Konig (illustrator). 356pp. Bevelled boards, all edges gilt, gilt decoration to ribbed spine & boards, no cracking to leather but internal paper hinges split but all still solidly bound. Poor copy ODNB. Croly (1780 - 1860) was a writer and clergyman. His poem 'Paris in 1815' was lampooned by Byron in Don Juan.

David Roberts (illustrator). This is division one of three in the set containing lithograph prints by Louis Haghe of David Roberts drawings from 1796-1864 that have added historical descriptions by Reverend George Croly. For protection, the pages have been placed inside an acid free folio from the library which has some library labeling and a pocket. The title page, all plates, and several other pages have library stamps. The pages and plates themselves are in fair condition. Their edges are chipped. They are all tanned and some have brown and black foxing. The title page has been repaired on the left side with some tape and has some writing on the back. Plate 16 also has a small piece of tape to patch a tear. The images themselves are in very good condition.

Black leather title and volume label with gilt decoration on spine. Each volume has a frontis and illustration at front of each volume. Some darker spots on leather else set very good to very good+ condition. Size: 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
