Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: price-clipped. First edition. Small 4to., 328 pages, green cloth; dj scuffed at letter 'A' in DAYS, edgeworn Gen. Cruse died soon after the publication of this book of his memoirs. He fought in the Indian Wars opposing the Apaches. He was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor in 1892. Later he served in the Philippines during the Spanish-American War.

The Geronimo campaigns, the Apache Kid, Tom Horn, Al Sieber, frontier military tactics and consequences make for an interesting and historic read.
