Some old warer-markings to insiide front cover and to edges of first twenty pages or so, a crease to the top of pp35-42, but otherwise a good clean tight copy, with no creasing to the spine, of this large-format (11.5 inches by 8 inches) soft-cover book. Poems by Eddie Cummins (1944-2005);…originally from Australie, he moved to Scotland in the early 1980s, working on trawlers out of Aberdeen before moving to Orkney where he lived for the last thirty years or so of his life, in between more travels. He had problems with alcoholism and was hospitalised many times. He died October 5th 2005, his body was found a week later. The poems refer to his travels, women he has met, spells in hospital, his life in Orkney,and more. 194pp, some b&w illustrations. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
