Unmarked save for gift inscription dated 1927 to half-title page, below which the young recipient has written his name in large pencil (we always leave children's names to honor those long-ago readers). Tearing to lower gutter side edges of Introduction pages only. Exterior shows some rubbing & scratches to front pastedown, heavy fraying with loss at both ends of spine & corners. Interior bright, clean and unmarked exccept for neat gift inscription on ffep. Front and rear jacket panels and flaps are present with considerable chipping and loss.
