The titlepage lists Cushing as also author of The Bull i' th' Thorn, Cut with his own Diamond, The Great Chin Episode, & Wolff lists Misogyny and the Maiden, A Woman with a Secret and Doctor Caesar Croul, Mind-Curer. His last novel, God's Lad, appeared in 1900. The last three-decker accepted by Mudie's Library was Mrs. Walford's The Matchmaker, 1894, the year in which 112 were published - with only 2 published in 1897.
