Hardcover. Condition: Collectible. Dali, Salvador & Alemany, Carlos (illustrator). FIRST. nFINE in Good slipcase. UNIQUE artworld item. SIGNED by CARLOS ALEMANY, the Argentinean jeweler craftsman who uniquely and personally hand made -all- of Salvador Dali;s unique design jewelry - pieces were part of the Owen Cheatem Collection and are now owned by the nation of Spain. The book is boldly signed (in the flamboyant manner of Dali himself) on the inside front cover by Alemany, to John Lebolt of Lebolt & Company, renowned Chicago jewelry firm. There is a spectacular and unique lineage of ownership and handling of this book of Dali jewelry images. Signed in 1962 the book includes, tipped in, three formal photo illustrations of additional pieces crafted between 1959 and 1962. Dali autographs are naturally prized in their own right but are notably available. Autographs of the Jeweler artist who personally handcrafted each unique Dali designed jewelry piece are rare. The importance, distinction and rarity of this ALEMANY signed book is singularly special if not unique in connection with Salvador Dali's art. UNIQUE. [B73-browncase cache]. Signed by Artist.

Salvador Dali (illustrator). Rare Deluxe Edition on Mother-of-Pearl Japan Paper Copy XXIX / XLIV (29 of only 44 issued) Large folio format: approx. 590 x 400 mm Offered for sale is one of the most desirable and luxurious illustrated portfolios created by Salvador Dalí during the mature period of his graphic oeuvre: The Song of Songs of King Solomon, published by Léon Amiel in Paris and New York in 1971. This monumental publication presents Dalí's visionary and highly personal interpretation of the biblical Song of Songs, transforming the poetic text into a sequence of sensual, mystical and unmistakably surreal compositions. Rich in symbolism, spiritual eroticism and dreamlike invention, the series stands among the most celebrated late deluxe book projects associated with the artist. The present example is the exact copy numbered XXIX, from the exceptionally small deluxe limitation of only 44 copies printed on Japon Nacré (Mother-of-Pearl Japan Paper). This luxurious paper, chosen for the finest impressions, is distinguished by its soft texture, luminous surface and subtle pearlescent character, far superior to the standard Arches paper edition. Most importantly, the portfolio contains the complete suite of 12 original etchings, and each of the 12 plates is individually hand-signed in pencil by Salvador Dalí. This feature alone places the work in a highly collectible category, as individually signed complete suites are consistently sought after by advanced collectors and institutions. Each engraving is additionally: hand-colored hand-embellished with gold issued hors-texte printed on full large sheets preserved in impressive folio dimensions of approximately 590 x 400 mm Because of the hand-coloring and manual gilding, every deluxe set possesses slight individual variations, making each surviving example subtly unique. This copy is complete with: original title page original justification page bearing the number XXIX full English text the complete set of 12 original signed etchings original blue linen-covered boards original matching slipcase with applied medallion Full Edition Breakdown 6 copies on parchment, numbered I-VI 44 deluxe copies on Japan Paper, numbered VII-L 250 copies on Arches paper 20 H.C. copies lettered A-T, reserved for the artist and associates Accordingly, this example belongs to one of the rarest commercial issues of the publication. Catalogue Reference Listed in the standard Dalí graphic catalogue raisonné: Michler & Löpsinger 468-479 Collector's Importance This portfolio combines every element serious collectors seek: internationally recognized artist complete signed suite luxury materials very small limitation hand-finished plates monumental presentation format strong auction precedent museum-quality visual impact A rare opportunity to acquire one of Salvador Dalí's most elegant and collectible deluxe publications, preserved in its intended grand format and issued in one of only 44 examples worldwide. The interior is in mint condition, slipcase with small issues with the margins velvet Huge and heavy portfolio sent traked and insured.

Salvador Dali (illustrator). Salvador Dalí (1904-1989) Poèmes de Mao-Tse-Toung Paris, Éditions Argillet, 1967 A complete and particularly refined example of this important portfolio illustrated by Salvador Dalí and published by Éditions Argillet in Paris in 1967, during one of the most accomplished phases of the artist's graphic production. Conceived as a cohesive dialogue between image and text, the work brings together Dalí's mature graphic language with the French translation of Mao Tse-Toung's poems, resulting in a portfolio of strong conceptual and visual unity. The suite comprises eight original engravings with drypoint, printed hors-texte on fine Arches wove paper, each sheet bearing the artist's embossed signature. The plates are executed with remarkable precision and clarity, combining controlled line with a distinctive expressive quality characteristic of Dalí's late 1960s work. This example is fully signed and numbered by hand, the justification page bearing the inscription "Exemplaire No. 214" together with Salvador Dalí's autograph signature in pencil. It belongs to the Arches blanc edition, numbered from 79 to 229, forming part of the principal signed issue of the publication, as detailed in the justification. Each individual engraving is further authenticated by Dalí's blindstamp, confirming the originality of the suite. The portfolio is complete in all its elements as issued, including the title page, full French text, signed and numbered justification, the complete set of eight engravings, the original printed wrapper with embossed Chinese calligraphy, and the original cloth-covered portfolio box with Dalí's embossed signature. The work is referenced in Michler & Löpsinger 209-216 and Field 67-1. Presented in a format of 403 × 302 mm, this example stands out for its exceptional state of preservation. The sheets remain notably fresh, clean and well-preserved, with strong impressions and full margins throughout. The justification page is clear, with the handwritten numbering and signature well retained. The overall condition can be described as mint for the contents, with only minor signs of wear to the outer portfolio box, entirely consistent with careful handling and storage. Poèmes de Mao-Tse-Toung occupies a distinctive position within Dalí's graphic ?uvre, reflecting a period of technical refinement and close collaboration with Éditions Argillet. Complete examples, fully signed and preserved in such condition, remain increasingly desirable, particularly when retaining their original presentation and all constituent elements intact.
