Book First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Without dust jacket if issued. First Edition, early printing. Despite difficult condition, this is a scarce title and priced accordingly. Octavo, 7 2/3? tall, 822 pages, gilt titles on green cloth. A good minus, generally clean, sturdy original hard cover edition with moderate shelf wear with light exterior soiling, fore-corner tips through to boards, top and bottom cloth edge of back strip frayed, fore-edges darkened, binding solid, but paper moderately yellowed with some scattered foxing. Given the period, unlikely dust jacket was issued. This may be a first edition without being the first printing. Priority was unestablished.
