Translated from a German manuscript, the only one in the world, found in the cabinet of Bonaparte, after the battle of Leipsic, by M.S. Dangell, teacher of languages and professor of philosophy. The original copy is now deposited in the College of Oxford.

Add to basketsome browning and spotting, minor tear to title not affecting text, pp. [44], 12mo, modern grey and white boards, front cover with simple paper title pasted in centre, good. A curious scheme for fortune telling. It is doubtful whether there is any Dublin original, or indeed a manuscript. But the work enjoyed some popularity, since editions (of which this is the earliest recorded), pop up all over the place, and to the end of the 19th century, especially in the US, with French and Danish editions also manifest. Rare in any edition.
