No Binding. Condition: Very Good. Original program printed in black ink on white paper with handbill printed in black ink on orange and white paper. The handbill is tipped in on program (adhered to top edge) and announces the same concert on October 24 at Jordan Hall in Boston, Massachusetts. No date, circa 1930s. 6" x 9." Unpaginated, five pages (one leaf folded in half and printed on all sides and additional one-page handbill tipped in on front). There may be a page missing on back of program (glue residue along spine on back), sold as is. Program and handbill are very clean and intact except for light age toning, former owner's pencil inscription at bottom of handbill, and some paper and glue residue on back of program. Both program and handbill are Very Good copies. This is a program and handbill for a piano concert performance by Lee Pattison at Jordan Hall on October 24, 8:15 p.m. The concert management on the program is stated as Daniel Mayer, Inc. of New York. Lee Pattison (1890-1966) was an American pianist, composer, arranger, opera director, and instructor. Pattison became well-known for performing with fellow pianist Guy Maier for concert piano duets. The two musicians parted ways on friendly terms in 1931 which is about the time when Pattison began performing solo. The main text of the program lauds Pattison and his career. The accompanying handbill lists the songs he played for the concert which include Padre Antonio Soler's "Two Sonatas (G minor and D flat major)," Purcell's "Minuet," John Bull's "The King's Hunting Jigg," Schumann's "Phatasie, Op. 17," Pattison's seven-movement original, "Told in the Hills," and Chopin's "Barrearolle, Op. 60" and "Scherzo in C sharp minor." Brief former owner's pencil inscription on handbill remarks on the songs played during the performance and which ones they preferred.
