Édition originale rare des oeuvres poétiques d'Arnaud Daubasse, peignier en corne à Villeneuve-sur-Lot puis Moissac, parue de façon posthume. Elles sont composées de pièces religieuses, chansons d'amour, de Noël et de vin, en patois de l'Agenais et en français. Elle a été établie par l'abbé Jacques Tailhié qui donne, dans l'Avertissement, une courte notice biographique de l'auteur dans laquelle il affirme que Daubasse ne savait ni lire, ni écrire mais possédait une grande mémoire. Il estime que "s'il [Daubasse] eût reçu l'éducation des Racine & des Voltaire, la nature eût tiré moins de gloire son chef-d'oeuvre". Ces sont donc des transcriptions d'amis lettrés (sa compagnie était recherchée pour son talent) qui nous sont parvenues. Drujon rapporte que, selon le catalogue Luzarches, la rareté de cet ouvrage serait dû à la mise au pilon de la plupart des exemplaires.
