This copy is an advance reading copy, provided to booksellers and reviewers ahead of hardcover publication. This is unread, bright and clean, spine uncreased, with only the very slightest flaking at the edges. In pictorial wraps with no dust jacket, as issued. PLUS, laid in is a bookplate SIGNED by David and Leigh Eddings, except that David has signed it "Attila the Hun." Leigh started to sign with one pen, then, when it was running low on ink, borrowed the one "Attila" had used to finish her name. BUT WAIT--THERE'S MORE! Also included is a promotional folder from Warner Aspect celebrating the book, David and Leigh's first Aspect publication. Inside the folder are an author appearance confirmation for their bookstore signing on Oct. 14, 2003, and a fax from David to the publicist at Aspect (then faxed by said publicist to the bookseller) that seems to be answering reader questions. The fax begins--demonstrating David's sense of humor (see "Attila the Hun") "Here you go. This should confuse the hell out of everybody."
