Syracuse, NY: Syracuse University Department of Athletics, 1985. David Revette, artist. 24 1/2" x 18 3/4" outside frame dimensions. Walnut framed and glassed by Editions Gallery, on The Hill at that time. Near Fine; no serious flaws over the decades. Some tearing to the backing paper; small faint blemish, lower right corner. Note that the faded jacket and other indications of age were intentional by artist Revette; the items therein were already nostalgic then (now - vintage nostalgia?). Though this lacrosse poster was produced in '88, the images contained within the wistfully designed photograph are of 'Cuse lacrosse memorabilia from many decades prior, on back into the Orange sports history, when it was one of the centers and founding schools of American collegiate lacrosse. A faded jersey, a crosse, a helmet, and a trophy cup - from the mists of time. Extraordinarily scarce, especially with the impressed gold seal at lower right corner -"Syracuse University - Lacrosse National Champions, 1988". One of many championships, for'Cuse. L-Bg311.…
