This book is a fascinating biography of Achille-François de Lascaris d'Urfà , Marquis du Chastellet, a young French aristocrat who embraced the ideals of the Revolution despite his noble lineage. Born into one of France's most illustrious families, d'Urfà renounced his aristocratic lifestyle to fight for liberty and equality. His revolutionary spirit and tragic end make for an enthralling read. This book adds depth to our understanding of the French Revolution, shedding light on the motivations and complexities of those who shaped its course. Through meticulous research and analysis, the author paints a vivid portrait of a remarkable individual whose story is both poignant and historically significant. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
