Condition: Fair. 3rd Edition. ** 3RD EDITION, 1880 ** HARDCOVER BOOK IN ORIGNAL CLOTH BINDING ** CLEAN AND UNMARKED ** COMPLETE AND INTACT, ALL PAGES PRESENT ** Published by Asher & Co., New Edition "Carefully Revised", 1880, full cloth binding, 752 pages, thick octavo (8vo). Cloth binding is worn through at the corner tips, and there is wear and tearing to the cloth at the top and bottom of the spine, with a 2 inch tear over the hinge from top of the spine down that exposes the underlying netting. Embossed gilt lettering on the spine still intact and at least Very Good. The book is quite clean and stain-free, remains square and straight, and is still firm in its binding despite the external tearing over the front hinge. Internal hinges still sound, and no pages are loose, torn, or missing. Corners tips are worn but have not been bumped. Internally Very Good condition. All pages are clean (2 small ink stains to the exterior fore-edge pages, no other stains to book), and all text is crisp and legible. There is no writing, underlining, highlighting, or any other such markings in the book (tasteful pre-printed bookplate on blank front pastedown).
