Draft script for an unproduced film. Based on the novel by Charity Blackstock, a pseudonym of Ursula Torday, who is here mis-attributed as "Charity Blackstone." In a post-World War II French village a young Jewish survivor of a concentration camp and a girl away at finishing school experience a budding romance, only to be stymied by a wealthy local Anti-Semite. Written by Decla Dunning, who also wrote the adaptation for Orson Welles' 1946 film "The Stranger." Front wrapper integral with title page as issued, with credits for screenwriter Dunning and novelist Blackstone. 133 leaves, with last page of text numbered 131. photocopy, with typescript title page. Pages about Fine, bound with two gold brads.
