Dark brown end pages are free and clear of any handwriting or bookplates. Inscribed and signed by the author on the second end page which reads: " Men die always; principles often: but time's furies ever loving in their verdicts. Faithfully Yours, T. C. DeLeon - Mobile, Ala - June 7, 1897". No other handwriting noted in book, no torn or loose pages. Pages show scattered foxing and toning and a couple finger smudge prints. Page where inscription as also has something lightly written in pencil at the bottom which may be erased if desired. Stir boards show soiling along edges and spine is darkened. Condition graded as good plus. See photos. Signed by Author(s).
