First Edition Signed
First edition. A nice copy of this caricature, which appeared in the Charivari series "Caricaturea Politiques." Signed in the plate A. D. A caricature of King Louis Philippe and his entourage walking on stilts. (A visual metaphor for their perceived detachment from the public and precariousness in power). Clean with a touch of darkening to it. There is a small repaired tear to the top edge. Overall in decent condition. 295 by 220mm (11½ by 8¾ inches). .
