Condition: Bon. 58-[2 bl.] p., 4 f. de A Lyon et à Paris, Dessenne et Gattet, 1789, in-8, 58-[2 bl.] p, 4 f. de planches dépliantes gravées, broché sous couverture d'attente crème de l'époque, "Ouvrage accompagné de planches, dans lequel on démontre les propriétés & les avantages de ces deux sortes de foyers, qui se trouvent à Paris, chez l'auteur, rue de Caumartin, n°18." Première édition de cette intéressante étude technique et décorative sur les cheminées d'intérieur à la fin du XVIIIe siècle dans lequel l'auteur présente le modèle inventé par Benjamin Franklin en 1745 connu sous divers noms : « poêle en circulation », la « cheminée Pennsylvanie » ou encore le « chauffoir de Pennsylvanie ». Désarnod perfectionna ce système en utilisant un foyer métallique qu'il présente dans cet ouvrage orné de très belles planches dessinées et gravées sur cuivre par N. Ransonnette. Exemplaire tel que paru, non rogné, en partie non coupé, fines rousseurs et brunissures à la page de titre, auréoles claires au bas des trois premières planches. Peu courant.…
