Not Bound. Condition: Very Good. Manuscript Calligraphy. A hand-written document, lettered in red, blue & black with ornate and decorative initials & lettering; the supplicant was the Rev. John Pitonack and the text is dated & signed below the request for indulgence by D Veninim, Archiepiscopus Adana, with the blindstamp of the papacy. The upper section has a small circular color portrait of Pope Pius XII, surrounded by leaf-and-flower tendril decoration in several colors with gilt accents. Archbishop Diego Venini (1889 - 1981) was Secret Almoner Emeritus of the Office of Papal Charities and Titular Archbishop of Adana, and was a priest for 68 years.
