First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Included. 1st Edition. 203 pages. 88 illustrations in the text. Hardcover, brown cloth. First edition with no additional printings listed (probably there were none). Enough of the dust jacket remains to do a graphic reconstruction of it. A couple of ink scratches on the preliminary pages and one of those corporate date stamps with a clock motif that indicate date received on the endpaper (October 22, 1923), no marks on the interior pages. No owner names, underlines, highlights, turned corners, etc. An oddly scarce/rare book, considering the ubiquity of the publisher, the interest in this topic, and the quality of the text and illustrations. First/only edition: I can only imagine that there must have been some legal issues that prevented further editions.
