I could not help but remark that the gay and colorful painting of this artist seemed very suited to the subject matter of the Jersey Shore. This large hard cover book (12 ½ x 12 ½ inches, 182 pages) was published by Jersey Shore Publications of Bay Head, New Jersey, dated 2002 and a First Edition (so stated). The book is inscribed by the Artist on the front endpaper. It is bound in dark sky blue cloth with embossed and gilt titles on cover and spine and protected by a glossy, pictorial dust jacket featuring a scene from one of the Artist s paintings. The book opens with a Foreword by the Publisher, an Introduction to the Art and Life of the Artist and then presents his work chronologically over the years. Almost every page includes one or more paintings by the Artist, all in full color. Condition: This book is in very good condition. The dust jacket, however, shows considerable edge wear including a few small tears now inexpertly repaired with common magic tape. The hard covers are clean and bright, especially the embossed gilt titles. They show a little bit of bumping at corners and spine tips. The interior pages and many colorful plates are bright and clean throughout. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound, despite the large size of the book. This book is not ex-library or a remainder. Inscribed by Illustrator.
