Numbered, limited edition, this copy being no. 1520, signed by Anthony Matthews, author of the sequel to The Tuggs at Ramsgate, also contained in this volume. Illustrated card covers. Boards mildly bowed, but sharp and bright. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Any doubt that Ramsgate is a Dickens country will be quickly dispelled by reading this tale. While probably written by Dickens while he was at the nearby Broadstairs, Dickens clearly visited Ramsgate for his inspiration. Large format, oblong, 8vo.
