Text block edges dulled by age, with silverfishing to front pastedown and flyleaf, but binding firm, contents clean. This series of county archive surveys has largely been rendered obsolete by subsequent state acquisitions and digitized inventories, but this volume remains of greater interest than most, given the wealth of Civil War archival material found in Gettysburg, and this second printing (1942), as a May 1941 foreword makes clear, actually includes additional records not inventoried in the first printing (July 1940) due to new discoveries made between original completion in Aug. 1939 and this printing, making this the more useful of the two.
