Erick Berry (illustrator). the pages are not numbered, there is one page of advertisement at the rear of book, there are many color illustrations, including the covers, and a few b/w, the book and contents are clean and tight, 2 1/2" closed tears have been repaired with acid-free document tape, the endpapers are nicely illustrated in color, there is a light vertical wrinkle in the front endpaper, this BOOK IS PROTECTED IN A BOXED CONTAINER DECORATED WITH AN ILLUSTRATION LIKE FRONT COVER OF BOOK, there is a glassine envelope laid on the bottom of the box, it had contained gingham cloth elephant pieces to be sewn together by the child and filled with fluffy white cotton or clean rags supplied by the child's mother to make their own elephant toy, the bottom part of the box is solid and has some soil on the bottom, the top part is complete with the corners split, there is a price tag pull on the upper right corner, it does have light wear and soil.
