The poem was written in 1958 and published in 'Los elementos de la noche' (1963); this is its first appearance in English. The author, who was born in Mexico City, was a Fellow in the Department of Literature at the University of Essex during the academic year 1967-68. Bumped towards the fore edge, the wrappers with a few marks and the staples slightly rusty, but about Very Good overall.
