Hardcover with dust jacket. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good+. First Edition. 8vo. Pp. 301. Frontis. photographic portrait of Douglas. Brown cloth. Light edgewear. Unclipped dust jacket, chipping to spine ends and edges, light soiling to spine panel. Warmly inscribed by Douglas to James Allen, the book's editor, and dated in February 1941. Offered with a first edition copy of Of Men and Mountains by Douglas also inscribed by Douglas to Allen. The copy is Very Good with some darkening to spine. Dust jacket for Democracy and Finance is now housed in a removable, clear archival protector.
