Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First edition. Original blind embossed green cloth, gilt-stamped spine title. Pages foxed, chip in rear hinge, cloth faded and corners bumped, else a very good copy. Paige's *Short Patent Sermons* was the first book of American burlesque sermons. Check list of the Theodore H. Koundakjian, Native American humor of the nineteenth century, page 113 states this edition is very scarce.
