From the Publisher (see image) : ". . .our first book. In 1992, Austin Osman Spare was an obscure artist: lost to art history, the media, and bullish auction prices. Our book was a reconstruction of his work with Kenneth Grant, c.1952, intended by the two friends to capture public interest at the height of the witchcraft revival. The two texts were 'The Witches Sabbath' and 'Axiomata'. We published them tête-bêche on sumptuous French paper and offered the work in standard and deluxe editions, the latter in full black vellum. Our intent was to explore the book as a talisman and to bring cultural credibility to a then marginalised genre.". First Edition Limited. Hard Cover. As New/As New.
