Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book analyzes the financial transformation undergone by France under the July Monarchy (1830-1848) and counters revisionist claims of financial irresponsibility leading to revolution. The author demonstrates that the government, with some exceptions, managed its budget prudently and used credit responsibly as it invested heavily in infrastructure projects. The government's moderate and measured approach to debt and deficit spending stands in direct contrast to the disastrous financial policies of both the Bourbon Restoration that preceded it and the Second Republic that succeeded it. The author's insights challenge prevailing narratives surrounding the July Monarchy and offer a nuanced understanding of its financial policies and their impact on both the economy and the monarchy's ultimate collapse. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
