Zusammen 2 SS. Folio und 8vo. In dem von Antonia Gfin. Eszterházy eh. unterzeichneten Kanzleibrief beauftragt sie Dr. E. Forster in München, "ihr ein Aquarellbild vom Innern der Allerheiligenkirche, von beiläufig 2' Höhe u. verhältnismäßiger Breite, von einem Münchner Künstler (Herrm Dyk) um den Preis von vierzig Dukaten anfertigen und bis 18ten o. 20ten. Dezember d.J. nach Preßburg besorgen zu lassen [.]", welches auszufolgen Dyck bestätigt. Im Jahr darauf tritt er seine Forderung, "welche ich an die Frau Gräfin von Esterhazy geborene Freyin von Schröfl in Wien für ein Aquarell-Bild mit 40 Dukaten habe [.] an den königlichen bayerischen Hofrath und Advokaten Georg von Dessauer in München ab". - Hermann Dyck war Mitarbeiter der 'Fliegenden Blätter', Lehrer an der Privatschule des Münchener Kunstgewerbevereins und nach ihrer Verstaatlichung 1868 deren Direktor. "Künstlerisch vertrat er dort eine Richtung, die, dem sog. 'Maximiliansstile' verwandt, aus antikisierenden Formen und gotischen Ornamenten [.] einen neuen Stil zu entwickeln strebte" (Thieme/Becker X, 271). - Die Urkunde mit zweifach gestemp. und mit hs. Jahrhundert) mit Bindebändern. Zustand: Die Umschläge schwach braun- bzw. stockfleckig und mit geringen Altersspuren. Die [originellen und humorvollen] Radierungen braun- bzw. stockfleckig. - Der extrem seltene Titel befand sich ehemals in der Sammlung des Münchner Arztes und Kunstsammlers Dr. Anton Strähuber (1877-1939). ? Hermann Dyck (1812-1874) war ein deutscher Maler, Zeichner und Radierer. Er widmete sich in München der Architekturmalerei, die er durch kulturhistorische Staffage besonderen Reiz zu verleihen wusste. Seine Verbindung mit den seit 1844 erscheinenden 'Fliegenden Blättern' brachte ein bemerkenswertes satirisches Talent in ihm zur Reife, das jedoch bereits ? wie wir sehen können ? in vorliegenden Radierungen trefflich zum Ausdruck kam.
